Terms of Service
Last updated: June 9, 2026
These are the terms for using Your Home Docket. We have tried to write them in plain language. If something is unclear, use the Feedback button to ask us.
1. The service
Your Home Docket is a home-service tracking app for personal and household use. It is currently in private beta, meaning features are still being built and things may change. We provide the service on a reasonable-effort basis — we aim for high availability but do not guarantee any specific uptime.
2. No warranty
The service is provided as-is, without warranty of any kind. Data loss is possible during beta — please keep your own copies of important receipts and documents. We will do our best to protect your data, but we cannot be held responsible for losses beyond our reasonable control.
3. Your data
You own your data. By using the service you grant us only the rights necessary to store, display, and operate the service on your behalf — nothing more. We will never use your home data for advertising, sell it, or share it with third parties except the sub-processors listed in the Privacy Policy, which act only on our instructions.
4. Acceptable use
Your Home Docket is for personal and household use. When using the service, you agree not to:
- Use it for commercial purposes (reselling access, managing properties for clients, etc.) without our written permission.
- Upload unlawful content or content that violates others' rights.
- Attempt to access other users' data, reverse-engineer the service, or exploit security vulnerabilities.
- Use automated tools to scrape or excessively load the service.
5. Accounts and household members
You are responsible for keeping your login credentials secure. You are also responsible for the activity of household members you invite. Only invite people you trust — home admins can manage membership from the home settings at any time.
6. Suspension and termination
We may suspend or terminate accounts that abuse the service, violate these terms, or act in ways harmful to other users. We will try to give reasonable notice unless the situation requires immediate action. You can stop using the service at any time — no questions asked.
7. Pricing
Your Home Docket is free during the private beta. If and when we introduce paid plans, we will give existing users clear advance notice — at least 30 days — before any billing begins. You will always have the option to export your data and leave before any charges apply.
8. Intellectual property
The Your Home Docket name, logo, and software are our property. Your data — the records, photos, and documents you create — is yours. These terms do not transfer any intellectual property rights in either direction beyond what is stated here.
9. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms as the service evolves. We will send an email to the address on your account before material changes take effect. Your continued use after that date means you accept the new terms.
10. Limitation of liability
To the extent permitted by law, Your Home Docket is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the service. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim — which, during the free beta, is zero.
11. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of India. Any disputes will be resolved in the courts of Mumbai, Maharashtra.
12. Contact
If you have questions about these terms, use the Feedback button at the bottom of any page once you are signed in. We will respond within a few business days.
